We are so thankful for all the ways that God has been generous to us. And because we so quickly forget with each new hurdle I though I would recount God's kindness to us of late that we and others would become more thankful!
To let you be a fly on the wall into our lives, As a way to reflect, A place to share our needs and ask you to prayfully support us AND ultimately and most importantly a place to bring glory to God!

God's generosity
How might we remain thankful? This is a questions Pip and I often struggle with as we constantly forget the goodness of God towards us. It is scripture time and time again that draws us back to a right thankfulness to God. One constant reminder comes from Psalm 73 where david recounts God as his treasure:
"Nevertheless, I am continually with you;
you hold my right hand.
You guide me with your counsel,
and afterward you will receive me to glory.
Whom have I in heaven but you?
And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you.
My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
For behold, those who are far from you shall perish;
you put an end to everyone who is unfaithful to you.
But for me it is good to be near God;
I have made the Lord God my refuge,
that I may tell of all your works." (Psalm 73:23-28)

Where to next? 2013
Sometimes we get the control of when seasons end and other times they just come on us unexpectedly.
The church where we had been doing MTS needed to hire a assistant minister and so finances were going to be to tight to have Pip on to complete her second year of MTS.
Isn't this a great verse: Psalm 139 vs 16:
your eyes saw my unformed body.All the days ordained for mewere written in your book
before one of them came to be.
Who could ever imagine that God had organised a new house, new church, new ways to learn about him and financial support..we also ended up getting a new car but thats a story for another day.
All that to say God is good.

With Mike already planning to go to bible college in 2013 in actually worked to our benefit to try out a new church as this is a requirement for his study.
Pip went to a MTS conference and was reminded by an announcement of a interesting sermon prep school run by a church.
After many chats and wanting to make the "right desicion" (we as a couple don't seem to make up our minds or get mutal peace on a situation fast) Pip declined the offer of fulltime work for the sermon school 2 mornings a week. She then got offered a scholarship for the school and her work offered her 4 days work on the other days! We then found a great church for Mike to do student ministry called Naramburn Anglican church. Then after dinner at our friends house in Surry Hills we managed to land their rental as they were moving in 2013.

MTS 2011-2013
We have to be honest we were not pro MTS at all.
Yes it was good for really young people who were keen to serve or perhaps people who were unsure of if ministry was for them..or maybe it was for people who liked living below the line for a whole 2 years but we weren't any of the above!

2010? aka Putting it off
There are plenty of reasons people put off study but what is a good one?
